The best team on carpet will win-PV! Don't get me wrong Gate City is the hottest team in Region D right now, but put PV's players on the carpet and look out.

Is it shag or pile?

certainly not Bermuda-has GC played on UVA-Wise's shag or pile yet. Vikes have ask Clintwood.

They hadn't played on JMU's before either before 03.

There's now way you are comparing the 07 Devils with the 03 Devils now are ya?

Not at all. You play where you play, and the 03 team had never played on turf either. While turf does help a fast team, I think it is slightly over rated. Doesn't it make sense that a slower player will also be faster on turf than grass?

I don't think it helps speed so much as it helps teams/players that like to make sharp plants and start and stop quickly

No, a slow player is a slow player. I am proof of that. LOL
Doesn't it also make sense that a fast player will be even faster-it's all relative. This game will come down to execution (what a cliche), but cliches are warranted since they are true. Does PV put 9 or 10 in the box and make GC beat them throug the air? Can GC pressure PV's offense by making Cedric make decisions while under a constant bombardment of blitzes? Tomorrow will tell, but if it turns into a track meet were special teams set up each team's philosophy of playcalling-give the edge to PV. If GC can contain PV's speed in the kicking game and do a good job of covering kicks thus making PV go the distance of the field then they will be right in there.
Don't kid yourself, true astro-turf is not over rated-watch Burton play on that stuff and tell me they don't look like a different TEAM. I just believe that PV has too much team speed for GC, that is if their coaches scheme GC and make them one dimensional.
Speed kills and TEAM speed is a holocaust.
